68th Golden Globe Awards Kicks Off

Though Golden Globe Awards is an annual event to honor and appreciate the artistic craft of every individual in the film and television world, every year is another year full of excitement and surprises.
This year, Golden Globe is even bigger and brighter hosted by Ricky Gervais. Middle of December last year, Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel and Blair Underwood announced the nominations where Robert De Niro was also revealed to be this year’s Cecile DeMille Award recipient for motion pictures lifetime achievement.
The awards night will be held in Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California from 5:00 PM up to 8:00PM, January 16, 2011 and broadcasted live by NBC.
FILM NOMINATIONS
This year’s nominees were combination of new and old talents. Nicole Kidman, Natalie Portman and this year’s highest contender, Halle Berry tops the Best Actress Nomination for Movie Drama category. Julianne Moore and Angelina Jolie were also included.
The phenomenon Johnny Depp, Kevin Spacey and Mark Wahlberg are on the Best Actor category.
It is not also new to see remarkable nominations for Best Film since 2010 is a year produced with spectacular movies and artistry. To complete the list, see the following:

Twilight star Robert Pattinson, new American Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez and Matt Damon are some of the presenters.
