    Acer Laptop is one of the strongest laptop brands distributed in the whole world. In the last Research conducted by www.displaysearch.com on 2007, Acer got the third place with 11.8 percent (HP and Dell got the first and second place position). Acer is a Multinational electronics manufacturer. It owns many franchised computer retail in Taiwan. In current time, Acers’ products are not only laptops but also many other devices and services which include PDAs, servers and storage, displays, peripherals  and e-business solutions for business, government, government, education, education, and home user. For many years, Acer has been a great competitor not only in Asia but in entire Earth.

    Formerly Multitech, which was founded by Stan Shih an Electronics Engineer from  National  Chiao Tung University along his wife Carolyn Yeh and, a group of five others in 1976. Later on Multitech was renamed Acer in 1987. It began with eleven employees and US $25,000 in capital. Originally, Acer was a distributor of electronic parts and a consultant in the use of microprocessor technologies. The global headquarter is in Hsichih Cty, Taiwan.
    In 2002, the Acer employed 39,000 people supporting dealers and distributors in more than 100 countries. Revenues reached US $12 billions during that year. And 2005, Acer employed 7,800 people throughout the while maintaining a global sales and service network. On august 27, 2007, Acer announced plans to acquire US based rival Gateway Inc. for US $710 million. J.T. Wang, company’s chairman said, in a statement that the acquisition “completes Acer’s global footprint, by strengthening our U.S. presence.
